hi Can anyone clear my query? My blog is quite new...and till now its PR0.But yesterday it was showing PR1 for few hours. But after few hours its again PR0.What does it mean? Why its not maintaining the PR?? In the same way one of my post showed PR3 for few hours,,,..then again gone...now its PR n/a. Please help???
PageRank changes every few months, not every few hours. It's just a glitch in the toolbar. You were probably seeing the PR of the site you'd looked at before.
Magda is absolutely right here. If your blog is new you will get a pagerank of zero with couple of weeks as the pages of your blogs get indexed. However google has already stopped updating the pagerank, so it just might be a pagrank of your earlier site watched. Google is updated individual pages every day so you might get PR0 for your blog or your individual pages but it will never go down.
Thanks for he quick reply.Sorry for my wrong question. How can I raise my PR.I am usually putting my posts in facebook, orkut, digg, stumble and other social bookmark sites. And try to put valuable comments in good PR sites with site signature.Am I doing the right way?Im getting only max 600 hits per day.So I cant put CPM ads.I have only CPC ads for 0.01$ per click . So trying to improve the traffic now. Im a beginner for this.Sorry,If i talked anything wrongly!!!
I never seen that kind of PR changing overnight. I think the PR1 you saw might be an old data of previous website displayed in Google toolbar and not your website really. Apart from this, there are plenty ways to increase website PR but not about social bookmark things. It could help you get link and traffics for a short term but not for a long run. If you do care much about PR, I would recommend you gain links from high PR website (PR6+) with low outbound links. When you gain link for solely PR purpose, you do not care about the relevant but only high PR. Isn't it easy?
As I know PR is dynamic category. Update and change for every website regarding PR are working continuously but only Google can see continuous changes. Others (we) can see changes only 4 times per year. Other members already told everything else regarding PR. Thanks!
Really though, page rank is not something to be worried about. Pagerank comes as a natural progression of your sites popularity and usefulness to users. So, work on your site and pagerank happens. If you had a terrible site with PR5 you really wouldn't have much at all.
LOL ! nothing happens like this . PR is often updated like after every 3-4 months . So you can expect that too happen . Just a fault in your PR checker .
First of tell me where you check your pr. because if you looking in google toolbar pr checker of using any other plugin so don't try this. this shows wrong pr. You can use google pr checker tool for check exact pr of your site.
@OP - Its just confusion at your end. Just try hard to build BL for your site and you'll get good PR in next PR update. DON.
PR is update time to time but google only show the changing few times per year Your case happen only that your PR tool is not accurate or something goes wrong with your PR tool
It sounds like a glitch but it is never too late to prepare for the next PR update. I would not be surprised if the next one happens within the month of May because the last one was so long and from looking at prior years of PR update it is quite possible ... but then again no one really knows.
Not sure, it is probably an error. Just keep building those backlinks as it will boost your SERPS ranking which in my opinion is more critical than Page Rank.
Sometimes the PR green bar sticks & it shows the PR of the site you're just visiting before visiting your own site. That's why you see the PR of the previously opened site.Your PR is still 0.
That is just an problem with the tool you are checking PR, as the PR updates after few months and you do not see a change every hour.
check with an online tool... if you are using a firefox addon, that might not always be accurate... sometimes it gave me different PR for websites with WWW and without WWW in front of the domain name
