PR Bar went White...

PR went white(not grey) on one of my sites and no visits from Googlebot since Nov 2.

No darkhat SEO as far as I know, it is a movie review site - But I am running an amazon AWS on there, would that be reason to get banned ?

Or is this just temporary because of the current update?

    Might be temporary.

Wanna give URL so we can see if it's white for us too?

Did you have PR before? If you did and it's now white, it could be any number of reasons. I looked at the site and didn't see anything illegal as far as the site itself went, but one possibility may be that you're linking to a bad site. I noticed the Kansas City site you link to on that page is also white. I didn't go through all the links on that site, but you may want to e-mail Google and ask them what the problem is, and if you're linking to a banned site somewhere or if it's just simply penalized.

It's a tough call. I took another look at the KC site, and it's odd that the subdomains are all white, yet the main URL and other links all have PR, so I doubt there are any issues there. Unless the subdomain hotels are all new and simply missed last update....it's odd but probably not the problem.

But getting back to your original question, looking closer I guess it looks like you could just be penalized. I had this happen to a site a couple of years ago for too frequent keyword use. I e-mailed them at the time and later requested a re-inclusion request and they eventually lifted the penalty and restored the PR to the site. I would simply e-mail Google and ask them if the site has been penalized, and what you need to do in order to take care of it.

I was listed there with 70K+ pages and it had PR5 across a lot of pages before. and yes, it is now totally gone from Google.

The only thing I can think of is the Amazon AWS script, I tried to put as much text in as possible to make my AWS different from others. They might consider it spammy or dublicate content?

It is http://www.popcorn-movies.com I am tallking about...

Any particular email address at Google I should email?

    Thanks

okay, I'm confused...I thought white meant simple PR0 - and a gray meant banned. hmm...

Thanks found it and I am now waiting to see if someone there can help me. Quite frustrating not to know why they hate me hehehe.

    Thanks again

Just got an email back from Google team that they have sent my message on to their engeneering team for further investigation. So hopefully I will get something back from them at some point shedding a bit of light on this.
