I would not pay so much attention to PR, and more attention to sites that deliver relevant content. Sites that deliver on what they claim, usually rise to the top of the pile!

Here we are talking about the site not me if you have an idea or a question about the subject please share with us? We are not talking about my authority or someone elses authority.

I'm asking about your site - what is it an authority on?

Having sitelinks does NOT make a site an authority site. Thats just a myth. I do not see it as being close to being any sort of authority site.

Yes this is an opinion but I think having sitelinks is a big sign of quality or value about google. Google generates sitelinks with an algorithm but not for all sites there is a threshold to make this algorithm work.

Sitelinks are meant to help users navigate your site.

Sitelinks do not indicate that a website is an authority/quality or anything else, PR doesn’t have anything to do with your website having Sitelinks.

    Thanks Brian

Google sitelinks can help people indicate the quality of a website since only Google would generate sitelinks automatically for websites that are useful for visitors.

I suspect Google generates them for sites that are stable, get clicks from the SERPs and have defined pages. There is the inference of quality but not of authority.

This is correct, however, what you really want is sitelinks from Google associated with keywords for your site (rather than just the domain name). Do a search for keywords for your web directory home page and see if you have sitelinks to know Google has more respect for your site.

Page Rank is not as important as it used to be. I would say sitelinks are a better indication of the sites strength for the specific keyword.

Have you done a lot of deep linking? This is one of the reasons we believe deep linking is important
Good sites need to mature much like a good red wine.
