Ok i am not an expert on PR..so heres my question..does PR and traffic to a website have any sort of relationship?

because i have seen domains with PR5-6 no traffic whatsoever..

then whats the use of Buying such high priced PR domains rather than getting a domain fresh and developing a good site..and strong backlinks..

I am confused...i think Backlinks does increase a sites value,..i totally understand the logic..more sites haveing inbound links..but whats so great about PR 5-6??

Nope, not really. PR is based on how much sites there are linking back to your site.

Maybe you should check the backlinks with Technorati.. I don't know how dnscoop works but it is impossible that you can have good PR with no backlinks.

DNScoop? That's for fun, for accuracy check something like iWebTool. Backlinks can fade during the period of time no update is being done and the PR will still remain.

PR gained when you have more back links, but the thing here is that, sometimes after they gained the desired PR to their site, some stop updating it. However, they still love to get backlinking to high PR site because High PageRank already determined by google by its importance and relevancy.

so once a site gets a good PR like PR4 and then gets dropped..and again starts getting backlinks...will it slide to PR2-3 or increase?

as in would more backlinks add over the deadbacklinks? or start over again??
