PR and Backlinks

It's been quite a while, but my site's PR is still 2. I noticed that many other websites with less traffic have higher PR than me. Why? I also tried to submit my articles to various social network sites, and my articles were reposted in other websites with the original links too. Troubled!

Most people now think that PR doesn't have as much of an effect on SERPs as before, if any. Don't worry about PR, just worry about your SERP.

Thank you? Could you help specify SERP?

To optimize for SERPs, choose the right keyword and the right content with keywords in it. And make it unique!!!

SERP - Search Engine Results Page

Now regarding your original question, a few things.

    1. Unless you have direct access to the statistics for the web sites who have higher PR than yours, then you really have no idea what traffic they are getting. There isn't a single tool on the Internet which can tell you this, they are all estimators.

    2. There is no correlation between traffic and PR. The primary factor for increasing PR is backlinks to your web site, the higher the PR of the web site linking to yours the more PR juice that will flow (subject to the number of outbound links on the linking page).

    3. There is no correlation between high PR and high SERPS. This has been proven in many case studies over the years. There are thousands of web sites with low PR that outrank web sites with high PR. Don't worry about what your PR is (unless it goes grey) just focus on building quality backlinks to your web site and producing great content for your visitors.

Yeah I agree, don't worry about your own PR, it doesn't matter. Now the PR where your backlinks are coming from can be very important for gaining rank in the SERPS.

    best of luck,

And why do you actually waste your time worrying about PR :)

PR is only about the amount of backlinks you have, not visitors, not grammar mistakes, not visitors.

Don't worry about the PR of your own site. It changes constantly, and Google rarely makes these changes public. Instead, worry about outranking your competition. Plenty of PR0 / PR1 sites can outrank higher PR sites with proper on-page SEO and stronger backlinks.

Don't worry about PR, just try to build links regularly, ranking for the KW you target is more important than the PR of the site. If a site is PR5 and it isn't ranking for the KW you want to rank, IMHO it isn't worth the try.

You have to focus on your serp ranking. Optimize your keywords well and also have unique contents. Don't bother about traffic, create backlinks to help your PR.

When your content got syndicated were the links dofollow? If they are nofollow links is can still be helpful but it won't increase your PR.

Pr is depend on the dofollow backlink. You just need to get more dofollow quality backlink to gain better pr. It have nothing to do with the traffic

PR isn't related to traffic. What matters (as others said) is where you rank and if you're making money.
