Hi Friends What is the advantage of PR? Why webmasters struggle to find it? What is its role in SERP?
It "used" to carry a lot of weight in Google's organic ranking algorithm. However, these days the PR of your URL has very little to do with how your URL ranks for a particular keyword phrase. It's one of over 200 ranking factors that Google is looking at... and it doesn't carry near the weight of other relevance related factors like <title> and inbound lilnks. It's really only important if you're selling links and you want to be able to overprice those links when selling to idiots that think high PR links are the holy grail.
In my opinion, a PR is not really too important in rankings. It's a benefit to have a good one but it won't give you much of an advantage to other sites competing for the same keywords.
The PR of the websites are really important because it show that how much your website is mature on different search engines in terms of backward links as well as domain age factor.
Pagerank is the important factor as it given by google.PR is given according to the site quality and backlinks.

there is no advantage of PR, Google made PR option disappear in webmaster tools because there are lot of spam sites with high PR. there is no benefits of PR in SEO too.
The only use of PR for webmasters in know is that, you can sell it for thousands of $$$ .PR is not of any concern for traffic.

PR increases the crawling frequency of Google bot. By this, updated content content gets index faster and appear in serp. Indirectly, PR effects the Google serp. But, Google says that PR is not an important factor. So that, they were removed the PR from Google webmaster tools. But, PR is important as per my opinion.
Rightly said, PR only affects the crawling rate nothing else. Higher PR does not mean higher search rankings.
PR is a measure of the popularity of your site and it may increase as the number of back reference to your site increases from other sites. It may effect SERP positions but to what extent? Nobody knows.
There are so many factors are there to calculate PR to any site - backlink, inlinks, keyword density, bounce rate, content - Google calculating PR by considering these factors (and many other factors too)..
