Unfortunately, that is correct.
I think the idea of acquiring an expired domain with PR in a specifical topic and put a completely out-of-topic content is no longer a good idea, what do you think?

In fact buying domains for having PR is not longer (has ever been?) a good idea because long time ago that Google Pagerank is dead and isn't influential on the way Google ranks a website.
