PR 6 backlink impact

    I've recently obtained a PR6 backlink from the Cisco blog to my Technology blog.
    Currently my PR is still 0 because I started it in April.

    What can the impact of this PR 6 backlink be for the next Google PR update?
    I know 1 good PR backlink is better than 20 PR 1 backlinks, but how much better is it? I know it impossible to predict, but maybe some of you have some experience with this.

    My goal is to obtain at least a PR 5/10.

    Other than this PR 6 backlink I have several PR 3 and PR 2 backlinks to my blog.

    Thanks for the answers.

    I asked this question too not too long ago. I think there's no one answer. Depends on link relevance and a lot of other things.

    BTW how'd you get that Cisco blog to even approve your comment? I tried back a while ago with a reasonably long, and well written comment and I was rejected as spam/banned.

    Well I first wrote a rather long comment too, but forgot to use my full name, so it got refused too.
    A week later I wrote another comment again, but much shorter and it was a reply to another comment, so I was trying to take part of the conversation.
    This time I didn't forget to use my full name and by wonder it got accepted a few days later.
    Btw, does this mean now I can comment on other articles without moderation? I've seen such option in the Wordpress settings.

    I do not think you would get high PR like PR5 as you expected. Please do not forget about number of outbound links on those page. The more links = more diluted for PR distributed toward each website.

    However, you should be glad because if the link was dofollow, your blog will get some link power from them instead just only PR. :)

    How do they know what your full name is? :p Or do you just need to use any real sounding full first and last name?

    {I don't like to sign my real name to anything publicly online. Only in private transactions}

    All the links in the comments are dofollow there :) I really hope it will push a bit.

    They don't know your real name ofcourse. I first used my website name, but that was a big mistake :p
