might as well you put it as dofollow, and welcome commenting. That will yield more traffic and comments.

Social bookmarks are powerful tool. Also I think PR and traffic are not directly relevant.

Well the PR wouldnt help in increasing your traffic. There are many sites with PR6 but they have few pages indexed in google or other search engines. You should work on keywords, Try to target keywords with less competition in the beginning.
Few more things you should also do.
    1. Get back links from Directories (Directory submission, Use the keyword you are targeting in your title and description)
    2. Get back links from Social networking and social bookmarking sites.
    3. Get back links from Blog comments. (10 posts per day is fine)
    4. Get back links from forum posts.
    5. Articles would also help you increase your traffic. (1 articles per day is ok)
    6. Optimize your site for Google, You will be beating others in all other search engines.

Note: you must follow all of them in a way that you can continue it for at least 3 months.
Make a calculation of all of them.

    Thank you for your replies.
So I guess PR isn't the way to attract traffic, but it can greatly help to get backlinks as ppl usually would like to get a link from my website.

The first thing which one should do is to maintain the PR. One does not know if your PR drops to ZERO on Google next PR update. This has happened with many people.

The best thing is to do more social bookmarking and directory submission to maintain the PR. The sites chosen should be DO Follow and have high PR.

Next, you can think of increasing the traffic to your site.

Again a good exemple that PR is useless

Get rankings and forget about pr is not the measurment of succes and higher PR is worthless doesn't mean higher traffic or rankings

    Build one way links

    Hi,

This is true that PR has nothing to do with the SERP. If you are really looking to improve your traffic and increase your sales, then you need to improve your presence on Internet. You should start using different social media profiles like Facebook, Twitter and other to get in touch with more and more people. Both the sites has different applications and ways to help you to reach your targeted audience.

You should also start working more and more on Articles and Blogs submission and promote them. Today most of the user go through the articles and blogs to know about any business or products. Users also reads the comments made on those articles and blogs as they create the credibility for the business. So these two are also nice ways to improve your traffic and sales.

You can also start your own wiki page to publish information. Most of the internet users takes help from wikipedia for any product, place or other things. So this can be a good way to reach targeted audiences also

You can: Have a Pay per Click campaign, Submit your website to online directories, use the Search Engine Optimization services available, start social networking as to bring people from those platforms to your website, use good keywords, constantly monitor the activity of the website as to see where from you get more traffic and then increase your presence there....

First consider what your site is trying to do. Do you want to sell templates? Is it free to download? Are you trying to attract advertisers?

Secondly, a PR 5 site like yours, best benefits from link building. This could be done a number of ways: PPC advertisements, PR releases, article submissions, social bookmarking, etc. It may actually be worth your time to pay an SEO company to do the link-building for you. I recommend Submit Edge. A little pricier than the competition, but excellent service.

Again, that goes back to what you want your site to do. If you're promoting a graphic design service that sells affordable templates, then you might want a press release done to get the word out to high-traffic newsworthy sites about what your service offers. With Press releases you could attract mid-grade to high paying clientele. Press releases are like news worthy announcements for your business. ex. "Apple launches new iPhone with new 3G technology". That's how your site would essentially be written about.

If you simply want to attract people who never considered uploading new templates to their Wordpress or blogger blog for free, then you might want article distribution to several article directories or social bookmarking sites. This is to make people aware of what templates can do for them, and that they can get it for free. It's less promo than a press release. It's meant to be purely informational and educational.

You can also submit your site to a standard website directories in the same manner you would list a pizza company in the phone book.

Again, it's back to what do you want your website to do. What type of audience are you trying to attract. All the strategies may be suited for your purpose. Maybe some are only suited. Consider it carefully.

Be sure that all your links work before submitting.

there's no direct connection between PR and traffic/SERPs. From what I know, high PR means google will crawl your web pages more often. So if you can add great content to the site, you might have a better chance of being indexed faster and eventually get some traffic.

Adding quality content continuously is the trick. Be patient and good things will happen. I've had to wait over 15 months for position to move to first page..

Thank you guys, you're amazing. Lots of useful information.

I don't think that any customer would agree to wait for 15 months.
