    It’s unfortunate for me to be posting this thread as I was hoping that such an event would not occur so soon. However, as I have my priorities, it is now a time for me to let go of this project.

    The name of the project will not be mentioned unless a PM is sent which then, I will give any possible information I can give regarding the website. I’d appreciate it if no one else (if you know what project I’m talking about) mentioned its name too.

    Anyways, the project was first launched last early-July (2006) and it is basically a huge content based website with its primary topic being portable MP3 players. It has over a hundred entries that are purely unique with a few being several hundred words long. The main page is a PR5 with LOTS of other pages of the website having PR4s and PR3s.

    The website also supports a unique custom designed skin along with a skin for the forum currently running the vBulletin forum software. The forum is hosted under http://forums.domainn.com, but can also be accessed via http://www.projectforums.org (replace “project” with the MP3 players the blog talks about).

    Regarding profits and the revenue it brings, I decided to keep the advertisements to the very bare minimum as advertisement clustered websites was a big no-no. Therefore, I have only sold a few text links at a cheap price for those truly wishing a bit of a link back. Despite some big offers from MP3 accessory dealers, I decided to reject the offers, as filling the website with banners and flashes was not in my best interest. However, it can be assumed that making a steady mid to high-XXX per month through placing advertisements is perfectly reasonable and quickly achievable.

    I’m willing to let the auction start off at a low price as money is not what’s in my mind at the moment. I just hope that the site will go into the hands of someone who is actually willing to continue the site. However, it’d be great if we could start the auction at this price (although negotiable) as most of the money will go towards the dreaded college applications this fall/winter.

    I’ll state a BIN later on, but for now enough reading. ;) Let’s get on with the bidding.
