PR 5 needs some conversions

    Hello everyone.

    First I wanna thank everyone here at DP. I've had my site for couple years, but it wasn't until April that I started working on PR. It went from 0 to 5 in that time by reading ALOT and following the advice of DPers.

    Anyway...my web design site (left one in my sig) gets about 3000 visits, or 700 UVs a month but doesn't make any sales.

    I thought it would be good idea to minimize the path to making a sale from the home page. So now you can click web design from home page which takes you to a page containing "buy now" links for various web design "packages."

    Still nada.

    I'm thinking of replacing that page now with a general description of my web design service, and calling "a conversion" when someone fills out a "free quote" form (the way i had it before).

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
    Or if you could recommend any good "professional" marketing types that would be great too.

    Lowering what you consider a conversion isn't really going to help you get a sale now is it?

    You have a decent amount of traffic, where is it coming from? It might be time to start targetting different keywords / getting traffic from elsewhere. For example 20k stumbleupon unique visitors are rarely going to get a sale, but 20 google visitors from "cheap web design" or "quote for web design" might convert at 20% or higher.

    I'm not familiar with that niche but in my niches that kind of traffic is low for one day even. Work on building more targetted traffic. PR is not important, how to you rank in SERPs for relevant keywords?

    try to get indexing in search egines , they wil hlep you more traffic , now a days pr is not so important , so its better for you to optimize your site for search engines by adding relative keywords and meta discriptions etc and also try to write some good content in your site which show about your work and services .....

    depends a lot on the sources of traffic and what keyword you target
    if you have decent traffic but you target the wrong words, this might be an explanation
    Also try to index all the pages in order to target long tail keywords.
    But first of all check the traffic sources
