i submitted and paid for a couple sites,please approve.also,i agree with mystic as a featured link option would have been nice

 

I am a bit confused.

PR5 homepage. No PR any internal page. $5 regular listing $10 with reciprocal no featured. Few links in the directory. 2 pages indexed in Yahoo. 12 pages indexed in Google. 12 backlinks in Yahoo.

Would it not have been prudent to have free listings for a while to build up a good database of links then go paid?

Sorry but $5 doesn't seem like a good deal to me.

 

Free listing is very hard to maintain; site promotion is very labor intense and require lot of patience, promotion dollars and planning.

if you look the above elements $5 is a very good deal

Thanks for your answer. No $5 is not a good deal for your directory. I have directories and they are FREE, that is a good deal. They also have PR, and have MANY pages indexed in Google etc.

I would consider only paying for any directory if:

1. They have internal PR
2. They are not just starting
3. They have a PR to pass to my pages
4. They have a featured link place
5. The pages I am submitting to are indexed by the SE's
6. I am getting something for my money
7. The owners appear to know what they are doing

Unfortunately as you can see not many have signed up for your directory. I am afraid that you are offering nothing and charging $5 for it. I was only trying to give you some friendly advice.

Good luck anyway with your directory. I will look in a few months to see how you are getting on.
