Don't be upset, just create some quality backlinks for your blog. And after 3 months you will see that your blog PR will goes to PR 5
Hummm so would it be better if I disable the dofollow plugin? or just delete comments which do not lead to relevant websites?
all of my popular internal blog pages have also lost their pagerank the url kaplang.com now has the PR that kaplang.com/blog once had...how can this be right?
Says the man selling pagerank in his signature. PR matters to some, EVEN if you're not selling links. OP: yes, spammy comments hurt you. Not only are you not promoting any type of real conversation - you're actually discouraging it by making your comments an open advertising board.
There are many possibilities that your site is showing PR N/A. Most of the datacenters are off right now. That may be the reason.
And Michelle's blog is the only one on DP reporting this? Hmmm, that's probably it. *rolleyes* Michelle, don't worry too much. As long as your domain has PR - it's probably something temporary until the next update. I do suggest reviewing the dofollow comments, or at least seriously tune up the moderation. I'm pretty certain this might be the deciding factor.
right OK I will delete non relevant comments this evening, should I only allow comments which link to similar websites or just comments which do not say enough about the actual blog post which they are commenting on? I have checked on the Google today and I am still ranked just as well, it just seems very odd. Thanks for all of your help and support
This might happen because you are selling ads too much (saw about 12 ad slots) Google drops such websites sometimes You should not case about the PR, because the website is still indexed in Google. I hope you did not lost SERP.
hummm OK I will remove some, I don't need them all anyways I have created a webmaster account through my Google account and verified my blog but every option it gives me it has no data for my website. It says I have no internal links, no incoming links, but I do. Is this because I have only just setup the account or is something wrong?
Your blog is still indexed in Google and I think it may be a temporary thing. You should wait and keep doing your job.
How did you know that? What is your website Url? so that we can check and say what are the reasons for pr drop.
I think It's just temporary thing. I have experienced the same things. Got PR 3 become N/A, desperate for days and finally back to PR 3 . Just calm down
Don;t bother with useless things like PR and Alexa both are numbersactualy Alexa is quite crappy Concentrate on site and on building links
You don't need to do anything wrong for that to happen. I follow all the rules and one of my websites drop from PR3 to PR0 after the last update in December. I still get traffics coming, and I am gonna keep posting new contents to atract the Search Engines. I think that everyone should do the same, if they faced the same situation as well...
