Hi there guys I have had my chat site at pr 0 for a while now, i have been thru 2 google updates and its never moved, just wondered if anyone had any ideas, my serps is fine, should i contact google see if theres a problem ? Woc
There are many web sites having PR0 with rankings in the top 5 lately. Google is always working on misleading "recipes". You should not worry about this as long as your serps are ok.
Thanks for the advice, thought as much really, just find it a bit strange and confusing but who knows it might come back some day lol ! Woc
Is the site new? That can have an effect... I have a site thats a PR1 but has more and better inbound links than another site I'm competing against which has a PR4. Only difference, my sites 2 months old - The other site is 2 years old... But as everyone has said, if your SERPS are ok then don't worry too much about it
I think that pageranking is a lot more important than people cut it out to be. True, you want the search engine results, but a good pagerank can work wonders for your visitors who generally give more credit to those with better rankings. You should focus on building up your back links to try and get page-ranked as soon as possible.
You only need to gather some quality backlinks for your site. PR is calculated through backlinks. Backlinks that are related to your site weighs more. It's not the quantity of backlinks that counts but quality of backlinks.
If your website serps is fine and doing very well in search, you dont have to worry much on PR. If you want to increase your PR you have to get alot of quality backlinks related to your site to increase your PR.
TBPR is useless...you might want to care more about your SERP ranking and traffic which is more important and worth to work at also...
Thanks guys, i got yellow carded posted in the wrong section sorry DP, or should i say come on ref i never touched him lol ! Woc
Look userchme the PR is considered as of no use in todays seo world so you need not to worry about it the main thing is SERP which should be kept in mind and as you said the SERP of your site is doing good therefore, no worries but always work on the process as its an ongoing process.
Good advice amits, i did think that, but was doubting myself, so thought i would seek some assurance, thanks to all that posted ! Woc
