    ppc is acronym from Pay per click...
    in this category, are, ad networks (like adsense, adbrite, ity, etc) who pay you, for every click generate to a visitor of your personal website to the banner from your website, and ptc's (pay to click sites, like neobux, who pay you for every click who press you to, to their sponsor ads. in generraly, is 0.01$/click and minimum payout varies)
