    ppc is good for short term and if you have budget for traffic but seo will bring you traffic for long term and continues.

    so my answer depents on your money and time:)

    They both compliment each other, when launching a new site I'll normally run an extensive PPC campaign to get an idea of what keywords are converting. I'll then introduce these keywords into the Organic SEO to maximise organic revenue :)

    PPC for quick campaigns with just a landing page typically...and SEO for my full sites (ppc too, sometimes).
    Both have their place and make good money.

    Though I'm partial to the immediate gratification of PPC :)

    SEO, the traffics better, and more productive. People don't search ads when looking for a product....they search google. yes i know ads display, and get some clicks, but i'd rather have the visitor there, for exactly what i sell, and for free.

    I'll do a PPC campaign first to gather some first hand data then I'll start doing my SEO. But personally, I enjoy PPC more than SEO.

    PPC is more science and less art compared to SEO if you know what I am saying ;)
