My sites arn't very big or anything to bring in much money but im torn on what to do as a beginning web dev. Ive tried Google Adsense with one of my sites. Basicly over 2 weeks i made like 1.44$ but thats a whole nother issue with my own traffic... Right now i just redid the site to a more better (i think) idea that i think will bring in more money. Now whats my best option to go? wait for private advertisers who pay monthly fees? or do something like google Adsense again? Personally as a avid internet surfer i totally ignore ads so i think alot of people are learning to aswell, so that makes PPC kinda useless right and my site is for pretty much advanced users. I would love to get private advertisers because its sort of a guaranteed ammount of money each month. But then again if my site really grows i could be held down by low priced ads when i could get more threw PPC if it gets bigger.. or..ive heard of affiliate programs where you advertise for like amazon.com and if someone clicks on your link and buys something you get commission. But how often does that happen? you can make big bucks fast but i dont want those ads on my site if your likely to only get 1 sale per month or something. anyone got some advice for me?
I use both, company and private banners at the same time and loading at the same page... no problem with that, so you can try that out and think of a way to bring traffic on, like do something special that others don't do/have.
I would go for different ways for income. Let's say add 1 banner from private ads, 1 Google Ad/Link Unit, + affiliate or you can rotate them. But going this way you depend less from single advertiser.
ok ill try a combination of both. But is there a way to bring more private advertisers to you? or do you have to go out and find em?
Main thing before you can start earning with PPC or Private ad is traffic, If you have nice amount of traffic, you can earn good even with CPM programs.
