Hi guys, So i am taking my first foray into internet marketing of my new site. I have got an seo team working and starting to see my serps rising and expect this to take 6-9 months for my keywords to get a decent rank in the search engines. I am also going to supplement this with a PPC campaign. I have read through a few threads here and done some homework but i would also like to try and get some help from you PPC gurus out there. I am funding off of this myself so as with any start up money is quite tight, but i do know that if i don’t get interest in the new site www.amum2b.com then there was no point in developing it! So i am looking to find out if there is a way or a tool that can help me with low PPC priced keywords ( i suppose this is the holy grail!) I see the google tool seems to work quite well but it is no surprise that most of the keywords I want to target are fairly expensive! I plan on spending about $300-500 per month for the next 3-4 months on PPC. I have read that on average it costs about $8 to get a customer via PPC would you say this is accurate? I would ideally like to see in the region of 100 sign ups per month with this budget. so i obviously want to come in at under the $8 per customer. Any advice is appreciated. I would also love to hear from people who have had great success and those who did not do so well going down the same route as i am considering! Thanks a mil!
First impressions, DNS resolution of the site was quite slow and then loading the site was slow, if I was a surfer I would have clicked away. The domain could be an issue depending on your target audience as in the UK and Australia the word Mum is used for mother however in the US and many other countries Mom is the accepted variant. If you are looking for US traffic you have the wrong domain. The site looks very busy to me and there are too many ads which don't relate to being a mother or having a baby, that's a big problem, you need ads which fit the content of your site. You can gain a customer with as little as $2 or $3 if you are smart about the way you advertise. All the keywords you will want to target for your site are expensive because there is fierce competition in this market. I would consider low cost network wide ads to gain secondary consumers, which would be much cheaper.
Litesearch, Thanks a million for the feedback. we are ironing out the issues with the site loading times and the ads will be more relivent over the next week or 2. I am considering removing 2 of the skyscraper adverts to see if this helps load time and look of the site. Who would you suggest to you with regards to the low cost network wide ads as i have no experience in this space?
