[PPC noob question] How do you test offers?

Hi, i want to know how do you test the merchant offers? Let's say there are two credit card merchant offers. A and B. You want to know which one converts better, how to do it?

I thought we could do it by giving our affiliate links directly in adwords search network and test all the offers (so we know which one converts better). But Google usually bashes this method, sometimes because of the poor quality score.

Then I tried to only test it through content network, not the search network. However, my ads never showed up on content network, I don't know why. Everything is good, I think, it's written that the ads are all active, but how could I didn't get any impression?

Now i'm confuse because I don't know how to test merchants' offers. I really want to know which one converts better before I create my own landing page for them. I mean, for what reason we create our landing page for something that do not work?

Maybe create a review type landing page first.. have one offer as your *Top Offer* then rotate the offer in this position and see which ends up converting best.

You know this is part of the work. You need to find the best offers! No one is just going to give it too you.

It's easiest to just create landing pages for both, that way you can run them both equally and make it a fair fight so to say. If you really want to learn PPC I would suggest you check out PPC-Coach. It's an awesome site thats well worth the $50 a month. You can sign up using the link in my signature.

How if you want to test one niche? For example, you never promoted any of christmas gift niche and now you want to test all the offers. After you rotate them, like you said, then you realize the niche is simply doesn't good enough. How about that? I heard some people like Zac Johnson promotes their direct linking code through content network. When he believes it's good enough, then he'll create his own landing page and try his luck in real PPC (search network). Have you done this?

You're asking different questions in this thread...

To answer one of your questions, it's easy to create a single landing page and rotate/split affiliate offers on that one page to see which converts better. I usually use something similar to the URL Rotator here
