    I'm in the UK, so we still have Overture into Yahoo etc. I only use ppc as a back up in case something went horribly wrong, or if there is a keyword that is pretty obscure but is getting media attention.
    But one little trick I found quite by chance was www.Mamma.com 2 years ago I deposited $25.00 and they too put in the same, it is still there, I knew that I was playing a hunch, after all who in the States wants to search my keywords! Teoma picked it up, and so did Ask Jeeves and I'm still number 1. Some pro's will say, but SE's don't pick up from ppc, and largely I would agree, but for me, it worked.
