PPC Idea I Find Helpful

    Hey Guys!

Here's what I've learned and I want to know if you all agree with me on.

We've all got a maximum CPA that we're shooting for. So for example: the highest CPA you would want to pay for a particular keyword may be $1.50.

Let's say that keyword is at a CPA of $0.75, I would up the bid a tad on the keyword (leading to more clicks which should lead to more conversions) but not increase it by too much so that the CPA wouldn't surpass $1.50.

    Would you do the same?

I don't think increasing your bid necessarily leads to more clicks... Why do you think it would? BTW are you using Adwords CPA bidding?

To answer your question, the first thing I would to do would be test another ad to see if I can get more clicks for the price I am already paying.

I've found that increasing my bids on Adwords has increased my clicks b/c its bumped up my position on the results page. When ever I move up in ranking, I get a ton of more clicks. It never fails.

The Ad testing idea is a great one though!

You will need to increase your CTR anyway to increase your QS and reduce your costs.

    Try testing new ads first.

Also how refined are your keywords?

I know it takes a bit of work but separate Adgroups for each keyword group really helps.

P.S. Here is a trick I got from Perry Marshall's blog - when you are testing out your ads make several copies of your existing ad as well so that you don't reduce your over all CTR.

My keywords are pretty refined. I started creating some new ads today. Testing stuff out and you're right... it takes a bit of work separating these ad groups but i'll be giving it a shot and THANKS! for the tip from Perry Marshall's blog... i'll be doing that now!

Keeping up your CTR % + Conv % + QS will reap you rewards beyond anything else. Tight themes with high conversions will get Google's attention to offer you premium placement. Give it a shot. Ianthekisser has it right, QS will help your bottom line spend significantly - especially raising that 6/10 to a 8/10 or 9/10 (shoot for a 10/10).

    Good luck!

I wouldn't play with adwords as it has so many stupid rule. I think you need to consider using PPV, it's really nice method to drive traffic

thanks guys! The encouragement definitely helps as Adwords can be EXTREMELY frustrating at times. I have campaigns that have been converting and now all of a sudden, they're not. Very aggravating!

@Maxipr... i'll be looking into PPV today

    Thanks!

@Maxipr i read about PPV.. seems like its less costly than PPC which is great but its adware.. most of the time when a pop up appears on someone's screen, their initial reaction is to close it then turn on the pop up blocker or even have the adware removed so with that said, although PPV is much cheaper than PPC, are you really receiving many conversions?
