I want to get some advice. I have been using Google Adsense but I have not found it particularly effective either, plus I do not like all the TOS and rules that go with Adsense. Just too much to worry about.

What I am trying to find out though, do people make big money with the other PPC publisher solutions such as Adbrite, Bidvertiser etc... I mean is it possible to still earn a modest amount from adsense alternatives or is Adsense the be all and end all?

Thank you for you help :)

People can make big money with something like AdBrite alone, but it doesn't (as a general rule) pay as well as AdSense. Google's wide reach and targeting mean advertisers are prepared to pay more to use their service, which is reflected in what they pass to their publishers. That said AdBrite is almost as reliable and has a lower minimum payout than AdSense.

You could try a mix and match - Bidvertiser ad units and AdBrite inlines say.

Thanks countryboy. I think I will try adbrite along side adsense for a little while and then see how things go. I do not have specialty niches so targeted ads are not as important as they might be.
