Maybe this is a newb question but hopefully someone can help me out. I'er searched and read google adwords help section but I need some clarifications on something. If i sold used books and I wanted to do a phrase match for: used books Would my ad pop up when somebody enteerd: used books = ad pops up used big books = ad pops up used widgets = ads DO NOT pop up books used = ????? Does it matter in what order the exact match is? books used = ????? What about plural? used book = ????
With "used books" set to phrase match - used books = ad pops up - Yes used big books = ad pops up - No, would for big used books used widgets = ads DO NOT pop up - No, they don't. books used = ????? - No Does it matter in what order the exact match is? Yes - for phrase match and exact match, the order matters. books used = ????? What about plural? used book = ???? - if you had this as your phrase match, your ad can be triggered by used books In essence, a phrase match can have things at the beginning or end.
Why don't you just use Exact match so the person has to type in the exact word for your ad to shows up.
if you use used books as an exact match - [used books], your ad will ONLY pop up for search query as - used books, and nothing else.
