    Why are people saying online advertising improves SEO?

    State your sources please - I personally believe it has NO effect on SEO - they are in no way connected, you are implying search engines monitor every single websites traffic amount and adjust their search engine position in accordance to that???

    PPC is an Internet marketing formula. PPC programs the online advertisers will pay Internet Publishers the agreed upon PPC rate when an ad is click on, regardless if a sale is made or not. If you put all of your best keywords into your PPC campaign then you stand a better chance of being seen by a lot of people.

    The only way it would help you would be if the people driven to your site via ppc then went and linked to you through a blog post or forum or similar.
