AdWords allows you to do that, but ifthere are 2 ads that point to the same merchant (domain) only the one with the higher bid will be showed.
you can do it on any.. the only thing is it only allows one text ad at a time for affiliates like this.. so if two bidders are doing it only one of them might be shown at a time.
Yes thats right. But watch what the merchants say. Some dont let you compete with them for certain keywords on PPC. So just make sure you read the terms/guidelines etc so they dont ban you!
I honestly don't understand why anyone would do such a thing. You are telling the merchant the keyowrds that you are converting on. What prevents them from sifting out the best ones and throwing away the chaff? You are _supposed_ to presell the visitor before having them jump to the merchant. Ultimately, as affiliates we have to provide some value...whether it's SEO, keyword discovery or preselling the visitor. By the way, there is a subtle difference between "pointing to a merchant" and the "display URL". As far as I know, every sponsored listing can point to the merchant...but only unique display URL's are shown. I never play this game though, since I want to try and build my own brand, as well as guard my keywords jealously. The best performing keywords I use to optimize my SEO traffic.
