I have an image hosting site, mainly focused on adult content. I get around 10k uniques per day (mostly USA), and have been trying a number of different ad networks, but I am not getting the performance I want. I have used one full page age, as well as several banners. I am wondering, what sort of earnings SHOULD I actually be getting with this level of traffic?
Hi XLS, I broker family friendly feeds but some of my providers have adult feeds. I never took the time to look at numbers on this since i don't really promote them, but you are on the right track by testing multiple networks. This will tell you who actually pays better. As far as what you SHOULD expect in relation to your volume ... from my experience in mainstream ads you will likely have to grow 5xs before you are able to negotiate a larger rev share. But it never hurts to try at any level. You might succeed at any time, at 3xs or you might need 10xs or more. Peace Worthen
It is but natural that you would get less Advertisers as your content is of adult.Try sell space of your website.
