Hello everybody, I'm trying to find out what would be the time benchmark for setting up a campaign in Google Adwords. If say it's an e-commerce website with 15 product categories, what time is "enough" for doing a proper keyword research, keyword grouping, ad creation, and deployment to the account, just that and no landing page creation because the time can vary significantly depending on the turnaround times in the development. Can someone with good Adwords experience share on this? Thanks in advance!
That is going to vary considerably depending on how many adgroups you end up with. Maybe you'll have 15 adgroups, 1 for each product, or you might have several adgroups for each product - each adgroup needs to be themed around one keyword phrase, if you want optimum results. Also depends what tools you are using for keyword variation. I would allow around 15 mins- 30 mins per adgroup as a rough estimate with the above caveats.
It's very difficult to predict a time line for other people. For myself to setup a search campaign it takes maybe 1-2 hours depending on the niche and how many keywords, etc. Hope this helps in giving a benchmark.
You cam take help of ppc campaign building such as speedppc, adwords accelerator to speed up time for creating campaign.. then it will be faster..
SpeedPPC is awesome for structuring your campaigns quickly and easily. Having a targeted campaign structure will really give you a high quality score! I only recommend SpeedPPC as long as you are active in PPC marketing and spend a pretty good amount. It really isn't for PPC marketers who have small budgets or are not managing larger campaigns. However if you do spend a fair amount or manage a lot of ad campaigns, SpeedPPC is a must. I have created a full review site for SpeedPPC where I give insights into the software, as well as an amazing bonus package if you buy through my site. Not to mention I will give you a $30 discount when you purchase SpeedPPC. Feel free to check it out: SpeedPPCOffer [dot] com
