PPC and CPM and Other Stuff

As the time gets closer to the launch of our contextual advertisement network, I am once again back here to get a little bit of feed back on a proposal that is in place for the CPM side of our network.

When I first started to brain storm ideas for our publishers to always have inventory it came to me in many ideas.

I thought I would show CPA ads that still pay a CPC but a very small CPC (1 cent) and if the visitor that clicked converted I would credit the users account with a bonus 60 - 80% of the revenue generated from the sale.

Then I also considered doing the same thing but on a CPM basis. Where the publisher would earn from every impression as well earn a commission from the sale if one was generated.

After that I had to think about "what if a publisher had a very low CTR?" when I thought of something on the lines of having a minimum CTR where if a publisher falls below the minimum CTR he would not earn any money from the CPM until the rate is brought back above the minimum CTR however he would earn money from the sale if one occurs ( my attempt at being more fare )

    So what do you think?

Please note that the CPM ads will not display unless there is no inventory, CPM ads will be very limited to our advertisers and will be priced accordingly to the target demographics.

I think that it is cool. Is this publishing site available now? If so can you send me the link to my site?

The Idea is good but it will need lot of man power because when your site grows you will be having problems with crediting account and all.

bad idea. paying below market prices for inventory. if they want 100% fill they'll go to right media. either join right media or allow publishers to send defaults to other networks. you have no major investors.

The concept you're working on sounds really good, but I think it might cause publishers to engage in click fraud and then that will in turn drive advertisers nuts... You know what that will do to your bottomline. However, if you can come up with a way to pay publishers on CPM, and monitor click fraud then you're up to something massive...!!
