Any idea what the average PPC Analyst's salary is in the US? I don't have a clue, yet I'm interviewing for the position. Duties include optimizing and reporting PPC for a company that makes e-commerce websites for small businesses. Thanks for any feedback!
I'd add an element of pay for performance so it's in their best interest to make top performing ads. That way you know you're not overpaying, you already earned the extra back in increased conversions and they get potentially phat bonusses.
Yes, that would be a very good thing if I were the one hiring. I meant that I was the one being interviewed, sorry if I worded that wrong. Bonuses wouldn't be a bad thing though, since I'm fairly decent at writing ads. . . I just don't know about the quality of the clients' websites yet and whether they will convert. I guess I will find out.
Then you should let them know you want to be able to work with whoever runs the site to optimize the landing pages, or create new ones altogether. Or have access to them yourself. Otherwise your job will be very difficult.
Thanks for the tips. I'm pretty sure I get to work directly with the sites, since the company actually designs the sites too. Illinois, actually. . . Guy From Chicago.
Whatever they offer you don't take it until you interview here! Check this out. Based on that starting salary (entry level) if you have some experience you should be looking in the $45,000 - $60,000 range per year. If you're a PPC pro I wouldn't take a job for less than 6 figures.
Nice find! I can't say I'm close to a pro, but I've done a decent amount of PPC for local businesses and my own affiliate programs. This helps me get a better idea of the position, thanks.
If I was not clear with my earlier post, I apologize. I was just commenting that this is a badly needed service in the realm of web development/traffic management.
