Be very wary about just launching into PPC without planning as sometimes it can adversely affect you (sometimes) with your organic placement if you decide to cancel your PPC. The indexes of course deny thias but a coiple of our clients have mysteriously developed problems straight after the cancellation of PPC.

I would rather have the SEO skills over PPC skills. The main factor is that SEO is free to a certain extent. Would you rather pay for your hits or not?

I think it depends on a lot of factors. SERP traffic is great but it can be extremely difficult to get and can take a long time to get it before you can test something to see if it is profitable. This is where PPC comes in. You can test an idea to see if it makes you money almost instantly. If it does then you can look at SEO for long term traffic or just crank up PPC and make more.

Depends on what your goals are, what your website looks like, what you potential budget is. However, generally you want SEO as #1 , but if you need/want traffic and results now, use ppc as well. In fact you can make a ton of money from ppc, if you can determine an affordable cost/converison. I usually recommend both to my clients.

SEO - Long term search engine traffic. Forget those long stressful PPC campaigns. How is that for return on investment?

But SEM is best when you have a e-commerce websites.

While both PPC and SEO marketing tactics have advantages, natural search engine optimization tends to have a higher return on investment (ROI) over time. And one main disadvantage of PPC is that it is increasingly vulnerable to click fraud which need to dealt with....

PPC you will know result within 1-5 day ( Profit or loss profit ).
SEO you will know result within 2-6 month ( Profit or Loss profit )
Now I use PPC only but for my plan I will convert profit from PPC to SEO plan in nearly future.
And finally I will use both way together

we are in the entertainment sector. the SEO traffic is about 3 times cheaper and coverts better as well. there is too much fraud in ppc nowadays, that is why it is hard to use it.

It all depends on your timeframe. PPC gets results immediately, SEO takes months to show results. SEO is cheaper if you know how to do it, but if you're good at PPC, you can start making $$$ a lot quicker there. Maybe best to use both.

Out of curiosity, do you stick by this opinion? i see a few months have passed and will be pleased if you are still doing better, conversion wise with seo?

I agree on the extra fraud potential with PPC, so much cash gets wasted.

Both are good .You will find people swearing at seo or some swearing at ppc . Most of time it depend on your niche and budget.

PPC is a better business model. You have much more control of what you can do and how your business operates. With SEO, you can be #1 one day and #100 the next day and have no way to control it or fix if fast. Therefore you will fail! just a matter of time. But PPC isn't just a piece of cake either. But much better model.
