i use ppc primarily but would obviously like to get the free traffic thru SEO also. i spend quite a bit but i would not make nearly as much, if any, if i didn't use ppc. you do need to know what you're doing though and track everything so you're not throwing away your money.
PPC short term* SEO long term, You still might want to use PPC even if you rank 1 in google, more ads is always good.
Organic with give you more success in the long run, but PPC will give you a better outlook of your site to the public and give you more traffic in a shorter period of time.
PPC stands for Pay Per Click. You basically pay for every click, an example program would be like Adwords. I do both and both make me good money, I suggest to do SEO first as PPC takes a long time (and a big budget) to learn and be used properly.
both have their pros/cons. consulting seo is tougher than ppc. ppc is more of an instant rush. seo is more creative.
nothing is permanent in the internet marketing game, although some things can last a while, even successful ppc campaigns.
What's the best way to start using SEO? I'm primarily PPC, but costs are getting more and more prohibitive. Johnny
