Is it better to stick to long term SEO strategies or add a PPC to my marketing tool? I would really appreciate some professional advice here. Please send in your thoughts and opinions to the post. Thanks a millions in advance.. Best Regards
I prefer for both. Put ads on your site and it'll bring you extra income. SEO is the foremost thing which you've to continue until you reach at your satisfaction level. So better to use them both.
You really can't actually compare these two, because there won't be a winner in this comparison. SEO and PPC are two absolutely different marketing strategies. Both require different amount of budget and produce different ROI.
Agree with badar100. Its like trying to copare apples and oranges as they are 2 completely separate things. PPC is good if you want quick results or want results from a particularly competitive keyword. SEO is a long term strategy which should see better results (if done correctly).
Some PPC is directly influenced by your SEO efforts. Chango Searchspots & Chitika both offer search-targeted ads, meaning the search query triggers the ad content. Although contextual ads like AdSense work well with good SEO, the search-targeted ads tend to have a higher CTR due the the added relevancy. This works best with product-focused sites, but it's not unusual to see 3-5% CTR if a broad offering of dvertising partners are available (I know for sure with SearchSpots, not as familiar with Chitika's current offerings).
Too many people look at this like it is one or the other - a bad mistake. They both have their advantages and disadvantages but at the end of the day if they are both making you money then why would stop either of them? In my experience there is also a 1 + 1 >2 effect. In other words by having both a PPC ad and a good SEO listing you get more traffic because people will see both and feel you have more 'authority'. In fact, I aim to get 3-6 listings on the first page for my top keywords (PPC, SEO, Videos, Articles, etc.) I believe the more you can get the better!
PPC is hands down better if you have the money to afford it. SEO might be better if you are ranking for good keywords because they bring traffic and are free also!
Personally I do both PPC and SEO. If you have very little time to invest in this and you can afford it, go for PPC. But to me free is always better. It really depends on how much time or money you are willing to invest. You must also look at the type of product or service you are interested in promoting. The average cost per click in markets like diet, dating or personal loans is going to be high. I personally market a number personal loan services with free traffic only. The cost per click with PPC could be as high as $5.00. That is to high for most people to make any money. Generally the loan companies are paying these kind of prices because they are able to make more money from repeat customers or they are using there advertising budget If you are new at this, I would start out by getting free traffic from search engines. Study everything you can get your hands on about SEO, Wordpress Page Setup and how to submit your website to the search engines and directories.
I prefer to invest my money in getting my website to the top of Google SERP than on PPC. With PPC, you only get traffic as long as you have money to spend, which does not apply to SEO. It all depends of what you are trying to accomplish.
Exactly. ALWAYS. If you are a noob just stick to SEO but once you start making money throw PPC in and increase profits.
There are tons of related resources online about this topic and you go days reading through them, everyone has their own opinions, some will say PPC and some will say SEO, however depending on the product and services you are promoting and the competitiveness of your targeted keywords, some work better than the others and vice versa. For example if you are promoting a health insurance campaign unless you have deep pocket it's one of the most expensive categories under Google PPC campaigns which cost average of $25 per click yes per click, so it's better for your to focus on SEO though it's also competitive but when it does pay off, it pays off big time. On the other hand if you are offering ebook, subscription, email newsletter, and the keywords you are promoting cost ranging from few cents to few dollars per click then it's worth a shot as it will land you immediate results, of course there are other factors determining the success of PPC such as contents, onsite optimization etc. Personally I think SEO is always the best method to get returns on your investment especially in a long run. If you offer a solid and proven product or services, always focus on SEO and use PPC as your supplements especially if you plan to stick around and trying to build a brand for your product.
PPC against the Google because Google only allow free services and PPC is a a not a free service that is the reason this is a against Google.
if you want fast result, choose PPC. SEO is the long term, i think SEO is better cos you will learn more thing during SEO for your web
