I have ad words campaign but I did it myself and it is cheesy. like $25-50 a month. I want to know what it would take to get on the top 3 listing and how much it would cost. I may also have another website with same keywords. Maybe to get 2 of the 3 spots if there is a discount.

I would need some more keywords but mainly Charlotte locksmith, car keys, locksmith Charlotte, chip keys .... etc... Maybe you could tell me more. This is for my business and I actually do the work.

PS. I would also want this for mobile. To show up on top of people going to Google on their mobile phones and searching for the same keywords.

Not sure if this should be in BST forum.

One thing you should probably bear in mind is that a single advertiser can only appear once for any given search query (unless you're planning to use two accounts, which will probably get caught).

You can find out how much the top slots cost yourself, provided you're willing to spend a little to test. Bid higher until you get a rank you want, and then see how much you're being charged for that. Ultimately it's the only way to figure out what the top spots will cost.

    Hi Ted,

Getting into the top three doesn’t matter. It means you’ll eat your budget quicker for fewer clicks.

Instead focus on getting as many clicks as possible. : )

    Good luck!

I think quality score is all that matters, If you increase the quality score of the landing page, Google automatically pushes your advertisement to the top position!

Being in the top 3 positions doesn't necessarily mean you will eat up all your budget, Google will reward advertisers with higher positions with lower CPC.

Factors taken in to consideration are 1. Quality Score 2. Keyword Relevancy 3. Ad Copy 4. Landing Page Quality, there are many other factors that Google's algorithm with look at but they are the main 4 which you have the power to change.

To maximise the amount of clicks for your given budget you can also consider using the display network where on average clicks cost around a third of the search network & you can also experiment with display ads (banners, buttons, videos etc)
