What would be a good PPC advertiser? I know of many but I don't know if any of them are good.

Depends on a lot of things:

    Budget?
    Product or Service You're Selling?
    Target Market?
    Goals?

    Can you provide more details?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Budget, anywhere from $25 to a few hundred
Two websites free forum hosting service, and a web hosting database
I'm targeting people who want free forums such as gaming clans etc... And for the other website I'm targeting people who want to find a webhost for their website, and who expect to spend money.
Not too sure about the goals, I guess to make money except the first website has a mission statement- http://www.freeminz.com/statement.html

My websites in case you want to know are http://www.freeminz.com/ and http://www.findmywebhost.org/

You can blow through a few hundred pretty quick with Overture & AdWords...

You "may" want to try out goclick.com or kanoodle.com or findwhat.com to get your
    feet wet?

It is a "bit of a science."

    Then again, where's the traffic/numbers? Overture & AdWords ;)

Low cost advertising (text links / banners as examples) might be an alternative as well.
It will take some work and some mistakes, but it will happen if you want it to.

Thanks, but from adwords for instance for my second site. Do you suppose a few will actually register an account from FindMyWebHost.org?

    Who knows? *shrugs*

Experience is still one of the best teachers. :)

    Good luck!

I agree that trial and error would be best. I read a lot of forums where person "A" will say that their ppc campaign with a search engine went horribly, while person "B" will say that their results were great from the same ppc search engine.

Id recomend against Kanoodle, they seem to have lots of click fraud..

You might try adbrite.com - I dont use them for my PPC ads any more on my site, since their rates where a little low. But for advertisers, thats a good thing ;)
