Hi i think it depend on click rate and category because some category are gives better returns against clicking.
If I understand you right, this is quite a basic question. There are essentially 3 ways PPC advertising can get relevant traffic to your site: 1) Keywords. You choose keywords, so that when people search on those terms in Google (or their Search Partners), your ad comes up. You pay when someone clicks through to you. You can specify whether the keyword must be the exact search, or whether closely related searches count too. For example, if you have a keyword like 'photo editing' on broad match, people searching for 'photo editing download' might see your ad. 2) Managed Placements. This is when you choose websites for your ads to appear on. 3) Automatic Placements. This is when Google choose websites for your ads to run on, based on your keywords and/or managed placements. Using these methods, you get traffic that is targeted, and pay only when people click through to your site (if you are on a PPC scheme). If you want highly targeted traffic, use exact match keywords that are definitely relevant, and managed placements only. If you are willing to be broader, experiment with broad match keywords and automatic placements.
Thank you for this response. I am pretty new to IM and PPC in particular and this basic definition is good for a start.
No problem. I'd strongly recommend you to have a look around the Inside Adwords blog that Google themselves write - it has a lot of very useful advice and tips. Inside Adwords Blog
