Power adaptors in Thailand and Malaysia (and SG)

    Hi

I've been looking at the adaptors for plugs for my camera chargers for an upcoming trip. The packs all say "parts of Thailand", "parts of Malaysia" which seems outrageous - you need diff plugs depending on where you live within a country? Reminds of the UK where all appliances are sold without plugs. That used to drive me mad.

So, anyway, the downside of digital everything is that they'll need charging frequently and we'll need to get the adaptors before we go. And that's where I thought DP'ers might be able to help.

We'll need plugs for most parts of MY, SG and we won't be going any further north than Krabi in Thailand.

Can anyone help me work out which adaptors I need?

    thanks

    Sarah

You need most of the time adaptors that will fit 2 pin sockets

    See this link

    http://www.alibaba.com/productsearch/Power_Strip/2.html

you will see the thailand pic and also the note that many times you only need
    2 pins without the earth/ground

I live in Thailand most of the year

Get back to me if you need more help

You've given me a great idea. We'll get the ones we think are right, but we'll get a US one too as the backpacker type places will probably be able convert them - if we can get to that format.

    thanks
