Just a thought to possibly generate some discussion. With the ever changing alogs at Google and an apparent desire to weight links by surrounding text / semantics, why not allow text banners to be of a paragraph style ? Benefits: IBLs would potentially carry more weight by surrounding relevant text. IBLs would not easily be discernable as paid or 'link farm' type links. OBLs would possibly have a positive impact with the new alogs. Keyphrases within ads would increase on-page density with the additional relevant text.Drawbacks: Better links for your competition, but better links back. Any comments ?
Great suggestion. And a description has to be supplied already so it could be displayed after the link. Having the link somewhere inthe middle requires two text input forms or reg exp but still doable. Like it indeed. Could be a 4th ad type. It also adds some more dynamic ocntent to the publisher's pages. Once theming is implemented even better!
I do think that is a good suggestion, however what about the currents ads i have and others have. I or they will then need to change them all over again. And think of the time it will take to review all the ads again.
I just started using the co op ad network today (and had great support from the forum when I ran into trouble). I think this suggestion is a brilliant idea - both for dynamic content and anchor text surrounding. Its easy for me to agree though, I only have one ad running
