I've been offered an opportunity I simply cannot refuse, leaving me with very little time. Due to this, my current project is going to suffer as I won't be able to invest the resources, time and my expertise into it. I'm interested to know how much you folks amongst DP would be willing to pay for something like this. If the price is correct, I'd be willing to part.

The Basics

For the past four to five months I have been developing Screagle. Screagle functions like many of todays most successful and popular social bookmarking websites such as Digg.com and Reddit, only it caters for the more controversial topics such as torrent downloads and free movie streaming. I've seen some fantastic support from the likes of Mininova.org, Torrentfreak, Filesharingtalk, Movshare.net and some big names.

The plan of action was to initially establish Screagle, invest in a vBulletin license for the community then finally develop and implement a web directory, thus creating a mini network. So far, I have completed the development on Screagle itself and set up the blog.

How Does It Work?

Screagle at it's core essentially links to various other websites hosting a number of factors such as torrents, movies, media streams and of course news. Think of it as the middle man, if users are looking for something in particular, they are able to use the search feature, sort through the results and be taken straight to the hosting party in question.

Screagle receives automatic updates from some of the biggest sources on the net (in regards to torrents and media streaming) through RSS, these updates are run every 30 minutes keeping things fresh and more importantly vital for the creation of a vast index. In addition to regular updates on all it's listings, Screagle allows it's users to post their own links.

Private messaging system
Comment, rate and flag all submitted listings.
Ability to add a "Like" button to all listings.

Potential

I originally decided to develop Screagle after reading an article a short while ago examining the profits generated by torrent related websites alone, the higher end of the scale were bringing in approximately $30-50k monthly whilst the smaller, newly established sites easily covering $5k+ monthly, I wanted a peice of this pie. Instead of creating another generic torrent search engine, I came up with Screagle, only with added benefits including the streaming links and of course daily file sharing news.

Screagle hasn't officially launched yet and as far as I'm concerned, still in development (as I haven't had time to purchase the vBulletin license, set up the forum and develop the web directory). Very little SEO work has been carried out whatsoever, I've submitted it to a few search engines, created a few articles and purchased two submissions services through DP, it's already seeing 120+ uniques daily, with a little effort and elbow grease, the traffic potential is vast.

Monetization

I've placed a few adverts up to simply fill the ad space during the development period, I experimented with Adbrite and was recently accepted into the Amazon Affiliate Scheme but haven't made any significant earnings (as expected). More adverts can easilly be implemented.

Legality

With all due respect, please do not turn this thread into a "file sharing is immoral, Screagle is illegal, linking to copyrighted property is BAD!" debate. As far as I'm concerned, and my hosting company, Screagle is not conducting in anything illegal. Screagle LINKS to websites that then in most cases link to another to actually download, or watch said stream. Beg to differ? Please take your debate elsewhere.

Additional Information

I was in the process of linking Screagle with a number of torrent, streaming and news websites. Currently it is linked with Filesharingtalk.com, BTScene, BTarena and a number of others. We were also in the process of writing up an article to publish amongst the biggest names in the file sharing news scene which we had the green light for.
