Agreed... Sitepoint is a site to avoid now, they allow scams and junk like this without any problems.

Wow... even after I provided you guys with everything I could to prove to you that I wasen't selling that landing page you still trying to bash me for it?

For the last time, I never sold any landing page.

Also, what in the hell does that have to do with this website that I'm selling? Fryman... you said sitepoint allows scams and junk, what is it about my site that is a scam and how can junk bring in $20,000+ a month? When will the personal bashing end?

They might call it a scam because you are charging for things that are free elsewhere and your page is very deceptive. This is the same website like those that sell kazaa lite codec. God I hate those! And DP members are not the first who called this type of website a scam.

    A quote from one website:

"Note: Codec packs and filesharing clients are completely free. Ignore the fraudulent scam sites that ask money for them. Codec packs and filesharing clients also do not require subscriptions of any kind: these subscriptions do not exist. If you do have been tricked in paying, then contact your credit card company to see if the money can be refunded.

Wow. You see, this is what i love about forums that let you post in a seller's listing! Lots of forums don't let you do this anymore for fear of having things like this happen to the seller. ALL HAIL DIGITALPOINT!! You saved a potential buyer's head.

I regret to say that in my younger and ignorant days I had a similar site that made around the same amount. I did the right thing and shut it down since it was not only illegal but also unethical.

Fear of things like what, their post going completely off topic and bashing something with no kind of facts? Don't get me wrong, I like that we are able to post whatever we want but when it goes so far off topic and isn't even discussing the website being sold I start to wonder...

Some members brought up good points with the legal issues of the website - ok, thats fine and I responded to those questions showing that the business is legal. Then some members brought up the ethics of the business - well if you don't feel what the business does thats fine, there are a bunch of other websites for sale that you may feel that are more ethical. Also keep in mind that I don't lie to the customers - every customer is required to agree to our TOS agreement and at the top of it, it states what we provide. Now when members start bringing up tdnetworks, that site has nothing to do with this auction and im still curious as to why it got brought up.

Like I believe I told a few members on here, I have no reason to lie or hide anything. I run a legit company and operate legit websites - I have been doing the website thing for the past nine years which is more than some people can say.

But to finish off on topic - the website is still for sale and if you look closely at the title of the post, you will see that it is only a potential sale if the right offer comes along. My website is a very small portion of this market, one company tried to sell out that makes over $1million a year and they are not even close to the top company that runs the market. The potential is still huge for this business and as you can see in our revenue - it is still growing each day. So if there is anyone that has the capital to invest in a profitable company that will give you a roi in less than three months check out the sitepoint auction.

    Not :)

I deal with people face to face and in public as much as possible. That's why, unlike most people you see on forums. I use my real name as my username and link to my blog with my full name as the domain.

I leave the kiddie tactics to the kids.

tdnetworks, if we were all wrong and you were right:

    A) There would be a lot of people here defending you, and telling the rest of us not to be hard on you

    B) The site would have sold already.

They say there's a sucker born every minute. Too bad they are all enjoying the 4th of July weekend and not shopping on Sitepoint eh?

If the site were as valuable as you're trying to make it out you wouldn't be selling it.

And thats why the title of this thread says potential sale - I really don't have to sell it and I wont mind keeping it if the right offer comes along.

LOOKERS: Stop bashing this guy. How can anyone call something illegal when they haven't even seen his site?

SELLER: Just start reporting posts, and in the future, when selling a site, just give overview and say "PM For details". If people have good reps then don't require bank statements, proof, etc.

If they are new require whatever you like :)

How are thing's in Atlanta? I just moved out west to Southern California, my wife and I miss Georgia.

Hope the best for you and your efforts.

My adsense account has absoutly nothing at all to do with this website since it was never on the site I have for sale and is completly unreleated but I'll answer you question anwyays... My adsense account was disabled because my website isn't allowed to link directly to search results pages or scrap ads or results from adsense for search which I was completly unaware of seeing that I've been doing that for the last nine months and had them review my website over three months ago.

I don't know why anyone bought it for 3 month earnings, maybe they don't belive the earnings aren't real (which they are) or worried about the legality of the website (it is 100% legal). eBay isn't a good way to rank a site - a very similar site like mines that makes over $1million+/year only sold for around $200k which didn't make sense. The reserve price wasen't close to being meet so there was no winner for the auction on eBay.

Site up for sale again... the site has made over $70,000 in revenue since the last time I listed it for sale. This will be a great website for anyone looking for a decent source of revenue for their company.
