Is it alright to post ads up for friends? Say my friend wants to sell a site but does not own an account. Can I put the ad up for him as long as I am the one physically in control of the account?

why not just tell your friend to open an account and sell it themselves?

That would take them a minimum of 2 weeks. And they need something sold before then.

So is it against the rules??

What if the "friend" plan to do scamming? You cant be responsible for it because you're not the one who do it.

Why don't you just ask your friend to create his/her own account. In that way you can avoid the scam if ever there is one..

Can you please not post and say what somebody has already said?

YES or NO answer. That is all I need.

No "ask him to create an account" posts are needed. nothing but a yes or no answer and then a locking of the topic.

There is no reason why you cannot "broker" a sale with your friend as your client, as long as there is no funny business.

No. If you aren't in control of what you're selling, you can't sell it here (owning it, or being officially tied to the company / owner and under contract to handle a sale, hire contractors for them, etc.). That's the equivalent of letting a friend post using your username, which isn't allowed. You can't post ads for other people to help them get around the rules of our minimum post requirements.
