Postion is not increasing.....??

    Hi all,

    I need your help, hope you will help me...

    I started first time work on google adwords for my new site.

    I set a campaign and targeted to the THREE EXACT Keywords on google.co.uk

    I make a default CPC is around $.8 and i make my daily budget is $100 for three exact keywords.

    Currently its Avg Pos is 3, i want to make it first postion in sponsored listing.

    Can anyone please guide how can i do it??

    Well you can either bid more for your keywords. Or go into campaign settings, and under position and preference, select "ON". Then at the keyword level you can select what position preference you want.

    Well, After reading your message i go to the campaign settings and select "on"

    But i did not get how to do this" Then at the keyword level you can select what position preference you want. " that you said,

    You can then go into your adgroups and look at your individual keywords, there should now be a column called "Pos. Pref" and you can set your position from 1 to 1

    Ad position is determined by multiplying your bid with your QS. So obviously, increasing your bid is one way and the other is to improve your quality. The advantage to improving quality is that you don't have to increase your bid and your position can go up naturally at the same cost. I always opt for increasing quality first.

    Using the position preference does not guarantee the range you select. As Google says, it's a preference, not a guarantee. You still have to rank there. Therefore, if your bid and QS results in a ranking of sixth position and you specify position 1-2, your ad may not be shown. See Google's own page on position preference.

    My ads were disabled due to i choose the prefence option, now i have selected it 1 to 4, may be it will shown now.

    I will update you on this.
