    Hi,

Most bloggers always says "quality content being the key to successful blogging" but also a blog also need quantity post! In most cases the number of posts on a blog is a major contributing factor.
The more pages in your blog the more potential entry points you have to it through the search engine, though it’s not just a matter of creating thousands of useless pages, each page should be a useful page with high quality content - but in general the more pages you’ve got the better.

Not just the quality that counts but also we need to consider quantity!!!

quality will always reign supreme. quantity is good, it will get you more visits, but other than that no. Even seen Steve pavlina? dude is awesome, makes the best quality posts on the web, has millions of fans, featured on Time magazine, and writes a blog post once per week (though his posts are very very long, some are 2000-7000 words.)

A newbie should write around 2/3 time per week, with at least 400-500 words to begin, after about a month or so (maybe 2-4 months), increase the length of posts to about 1000 words and then drop the posts to about once or twice per week.

This should be done after a good amount of fans have been built. You should write with sense! and make it worth your fans while and time.

ramkisson has a good point. Start with short quaility points. Then when you have lots of suscribers and loyal readers you can increase the length. Steve Pavlina length posts are not good for a blog that just started. Who would read all that from a someone you know nothing about?

I'll go with quality. Without your content being quality, then users won't want to return.

It's not just quality or not just quantity. combination of both is required. few quality posts won't drive huge traffic to site. similarly poor quantity posts will also useless for traffic. one has to combine both together. i will say quantity of quality post is winner :D

The best thing is to find a middle path and try to maintain the balance between the two....

Relying excessively on quality would kill you from writing anything and too much of scrap would put off your readers....
Hence....strive to walk on the fine line in-between.....

    Regards,

I don't agree. While it's good to have lots of unique content, if your blog lacks quality content, you will more then likely not have much authority in google, and this will reflect in the serps. Low quality content is better then no content at all (to a degree) but QUALITY content is MORE important then QUANTITY, because it will attract more natural links.

    First is Quality. Second Quantity.

Time is very valuable for every person. No one will waste time on your low quality blog articles.

    One more thing

    "Quality brings Quantity automatically"

I think even 1 good post every 10 days is better then 1 average post every 2 days.

Well people always prefer to read quality content rather then reading many articles which they already read anywhere. If quantity is come with quality then your site should become famous one.:)

quality is more important than quantity.
it is better to write a few quality pages than loads on low quality pages.
it is best to have loads of high quality pages.
