Posting on Craigslist for backlinks

I guess this is a question and a tip.

I noticed that when you post a link on craigslist or images they always add rel="nofollow" after you submit it. But when you go back you can actually edit the html and remove the nofollow tag.

Is that all you need to do to get a backlink from craigslist? Is there an easier way.

Is it ethical to do this? I mean won't I be penalized for that?

    craigslist isn't for backlinks

craigslist is only really for direct traffic because the post is delated within a week if it doesn't get flagged by a member.

I forgot that they delete the post after 45 days or so.

I don't think it's unethical. You should go on the personal section. There are bunch losers with picture of their penises hanging out. It's funny in a sad way.

I would say you get way more value out of the direct traffic then you would from a 45 day backlink.

All mine were eventually flagged and then deleted. One of the members on my community did it to get the word out without my consent.

You can't post links on craigslist.

Thanks for the heads up. They must have changed things. I followed the links back to craiglist from my stats which is how I found out about the links to my community.

I can't see craigslist being all that helpful especially with the link being deleted after 45 days.

Ads with links are more likely to get ghosted in my opinion. And the ad won't last very long from flaggers :p
