Hey all, Well like i said in the title is it a quick way to get booted. Basically i frequently use Justintv for watching streams and notice a lot of people adding links to the IM chat rooms. I have blogs with adsense and adbrite on them. Now if i was to post links to increase traffic would that be cause me to lose my adsense/adbrite account. The reason i ask is because i done a test on a blog with ads disabled and got around an extra 2000 hits per day. I know we cant mislead people to gain traffic so this is what i wrote, for all the latest man gadget reviews check out my blog at < link > I also asked the Channel broadcaster if he minded me putting the occasional message. Is there anything wrong with this practise advice please?
I cant imagine so, you're telling people what page they are going to, and its them that choose to go or not, so its legit, in effect targetted traffic. Also, you are not soliciting clicks on ur ads. I reckon ull be grand!
Ok i got worried because read somewhere that google monitors your traffic and if it suddenly jumps you can get booted. Justin tv for me is a good way to do it because, yes you do get alot of people spamming but if a broadcaster doesn't want you to post links then they can block them or even ban the user! I only go for the ask permission option because i'm polite lastly in Justins policies it explicilty says that links can be provided on the basis they are of informative value. So its not like i'm breaking theiir policies.
So today thought why bother others when i can stream all my football compilation clips and leave an advert for my blog in my chat forum. Bad idea, because i have 500 pageloads with 260 clicks giving me a ctr of over 50%. Now dont get me wrong i dont encourage people to visit my site but unfortuately it seems JTV gets people looking for free links or streams to football games. So good old google on my sports blog has adverts claiming free footy. So anyway i've e-mailed Google, hoping i dont get banned and am going to stop broadcasting on JTV since there are way to many cheap skates who will not pay for there games. So anyone wondering dont advertise your sports blog on JTV its way too much hassle.
