Posting From Facebook Group to Fans

If I'm the administrator of a Facebook Business page, how do I send a message to the Facebook Inboxes all the Fans of that page?

I've tried the "Send an Update" function in the past but I'm almost certain that those updates are not going to the Fans inboxes, but instead appear in their activity stream.

What am I missing?

You never know, Facebook may change the rules at a later stage.

i have also wondered about this. thanks for the heads up.
hopefully facebook changes that and we can send direct messages to our fans, instead of just a announcement that users barley ever check.
