If I post rapidshare or megaupload links, that people can use to download Music CDs on my website, would I get in trouble? I know alot of websites that do this, but wasn't sure if it was safe to do.

I'm looking for a new server know, but it would probably be based in the U.S.....is there a certain server i could use outside of the U.S. that would make it legal ?

It doesn't matter where your servers are. It matters where you are. Is it illegal? In the US, yes. Will you get in trouble? It is possible, but not likely. Unless your site becomes very popular, the vast number of similar sites means the odds are in your favour. Of course, that probably what those college students that got sued by the RIAA thought too.

The mp3 search box is no more legal than directly linking to the files.
