Did anyone have any experience posting comments (with a link to your website) to high PR Wordpress blogs to increase PR of your own website? Does that work at all?

I've been doing that. But I'm not sure of the PR thing, the reason why I do that is because SEs crawl my sites more often if I have links from high PR pages.

I do posting comments on blog related to my site. But my objective is to get traffic from that site. I don't know if it can help my PR.

Most blog comments have rel=nofollow on the link, so they have no value for SEO.

Its often a waste of time as a lot of blogs (most) has rel=nofollow. And of course the act is often black hat spamming.

As others have stated, many blog owners uses rel=nofollow command, however I still do it for free promotion and for little traffic.
