    Couple quick questions...
    1. Do you guys think posting comments on blogs with backlinks to your site is black hat? Will G penalize?
    2. Does anyone offer this service?

It can be helpful if they are related content and dont look like spam. If you just post of 1000 blogs using the same text, I think google will pick up on that. Let me know if you find anyone providing that service.

Yes I was just going to say what ServerUnion just said, I've got a lot of "spam" like comments that are not related to my post.

and now that i look closer at this idea, i realize that almost all links that are within a blog comment have "nofollow" so this whole idea is bad anyway.

i do like the idea of paying to have people write an actual blog about my site though.

ya thats true, a 'nofollow' link is just useless

and moreover it increase ur chance for a penalty if you post comments on unrelated blogs at large.

I don't think it to be a good idea at all

what about the signitures on this site? Are these also "no follows"? and if not could there be any potential problem

It it doesn't have the no follow attribute, I think it's a good news. I got several sites get indexed by google simply by having a link in my signature. :)

To fight SPAM in comments on blogs, Google came up with "nofollow" tag which made all the comments useless for link benefit purpose.

Signature on this side is useful as it counts towards your back links.

Goog gives very low valuer to a sig link, so they may help, but in a very small way.

From what I've seen, this does NOT appear to be true. I've noticed that my signature links and other links in forums seem to carry significant value in Google. These links often appear high in the results of a link:www.domain.com query, so I assume they are carrying some weight...

Do forum sig links need to be relevant on relevant forums to your site? I would think that it would certainly help, also would get you more clickthru traffic.
