I want to ask you guys… are no follow link followed by all other search engines? I heard other search engines like yahoo, msn or ask.com follow these links… I know that these search engines follow these links… but I want 100 percent confirm on this topic… So I need DP members help in this topic… Please post your feedback… What you guys analyze, your experience etc. Thanks in advance.
As per as my exprience... yahoo & ask follow these links and also for indexable... but i'm not sure about MSN...?
It is my understanding that the nofollow was specifically intended for Google. Other search engines most probably ignore it.
thanx for reply.... I know it's is used for google... but my question is it's helpful for other search engines or not...?
We found lot of evidence that GOOGLE doesn't follow <no follow link> even GOOGLE’S Team members says that they are not following. But I never heard from yahoo or msn... that they are not following the same tag for ignoring that links. thanx for sharing... your views...
I'm not sure about msn but if you want to compare... yahoo, ask and google... You can check here... This may be help you guys...
Google will not index a page via a nofollow link, neither pass link juice. Yahoo! will index a page but will not pass trust. Ask just don't give a sh*t. Dont know about Live. Source : How Google, Yahoo & Ask.com Treat the No Follow Link Attribute
Your answer is present in this article... may be you are quite sure now… This one is a nice article.... thanx for sharing....
Thanks guys for sharing nice articles and evidence… which shows that other search engines follow “no follow links†….. Is there any evidence where I can confirm MSN or live also follow “no follow tags†If anyone found any other good article related to this topic then please share here… And I want all DP members should discuss on this topic… So that it’s helpful for everyone… Thanx guys for sharing your views…
really? if i look in my google webmaster tools i can see a ton of backlinks which are no-follow. I think for google "no follow" would be more accurately described as "no trust"
I believe that Google will start to ignore nofollow tag in the near future... or maybe not... p.l.u.r.
