I wish that particular site was for myself instead of the client we worked on it for. Yes, these type of niche sites do very well. The client paid $350 for the style. That's probably an insanely low price for the high quality work, but that being said, this client will most likely make his money back in the first month or two of marketing his site. The time investment for this client was about one week from the point where he signed up, so I'd answer your question by saying the time investment is on the extreme minimal as compared to all the traditional ways of doing this.

We're not all niched out. You've got to consider that while there are a few thousand retail sites out there, there are literally millions, probably over a billion people that have access to the internet and can shop online at this point. That means there is plenty of space for merchants to setup shop and get a slice of the e-commerce pie.

We can never be niched out. THey are a tons of keywords out there that havent been used yet or no competition. its enough for everybody.

Actually, I am amazed at the number of people creating niche astores - there was another thread recently about astores, and I didn't get the impression (from my own experience either) that there was much going for them. I know they DO get indexed by Google, but I can't see them getting much search traffic. Anyone have a different experience?

 

Some one make a lot of money from niche astore by promote only niche astore in this site. Try it and you will see amazing results.

Cool site! Just wondering what script you running? I was running the ae.cgi script from cussimano(? can't spell) but it runs open links to amazon homepage from time to time. Got tired of advertizing Amazon for free!
